James Reid is undeniably one of the most famous celebrities of this generation. He started his career when he joined the reality television show “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010,” and he has come a long way since then!
James has done several movies and television shows that were proven to be very successful. In fact, his most recent film with Nadine Lustre entitled “Never Not Love You” received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from its viewers!
The Multimedia Prince also has an upcoming movie together with Sarah Geronimo and Xian Lim entitled “Miss Granny.” It is a popular film originally from South Korea, and a lot of other Asian countries have made remakes of the movie beacause of its success.
The international adaptations of “Miss Granny” are China’s “20 Once Again,” Japan’s “Suspicious Girl,” Thailand’s “Suddenly Twenty,” and Indonesia and Vietnam’s “Sweet 20.”
The story of the film revolves around an elderly woman in her 70s who mysteriously went back to being her 20-year-old self after having her picture taken at a photo studio.
James plays the grandson of Miss Granny who develops a crush on her younger self. In an interview with Ano’ng Ganap, the Multimedia Prince admitted that he can relate to his character in the film who is a rock musician.
“I’m not really rock, but yeah, I’m a musician,” James simply stated, relating himself to his role in the movie.
The Philippine adaptation of “Miss Granny” is directed by Joyce Bernal, and it will be showing in cinemas on August 22, so watch out for that!
