James Reid has definitely come a long way ever since he joined the reality television show “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010” and was hailed the Big Winner.

Now, he is one of the most famous Filipino artists of this generation, and he has been very busy with one showbiz commitment after the other, starting off with his upcoming film with Sarah Geronimo and Xian Lim entitled “Miss Granny.”

Aside from being a talented actor, James is also a very talented musician, and during the press conference of “Miss Granny,” he talked about what hindered him from making music in the past.

“My problem was that I was stopping myself. My dad always told me that I should do it, but then I didn’t see the potential in me. But of course, I’ve gotten past all that,” James stated.

Going back to his upcoming film, “Miss Granny” is a popular film originally from South Korea, and it focuses on values, such as a mother’s unconditional love for her child and love for family in general.

Sarah plays the role of Miss Granny who is a 70-year-old woman who mysteriously went back to being her 20-year-old self after having her picture taken at a photo studio.

James plays the role of Miss Granny’s grandson who eventually develops a crush on his grandmother’s younger self, while Xian plays “Mr. Producer” and is the other love interest in the film.

The Philippine adaptation of “Miss Granny” is directed by Joyce Bernal, and it will be showing in cinemas on August 22, so watch out for that!
