James Reid has come a long way after his win in the “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash” edition in 2010.

He started off doing various series in the Kapamilya network right after his win. However, his career skyrocketed when he was paired with Nadine Lustre in the 2014 film “Diary ng Panget.”

After he did films after films and two successful series, James then started venturing into making his own music.

In 2017, he realeased his self-written and self-produced album, Palm Dreams.

In an interview with Pikapika showbiz, James was made to choose between acting and singing. His answer?

He said, “I’ve done a lot of acting. [In] music, I’m leaning more towards seeing as when I first met Boss Vic, I asked him, I wanna make music. He said, ‘Sure I’m gonna make you an album but I’m gonna make you the next matinee idol.’

“I was like, ‘Okay, that’s great.’ Next year, ‘Diary ng Panget’ came out and (I had) movies, movies, movies.”

James further added, “Thyro used to write music for me on my first album. It was good OPM music for the time. I thought it was ahead of the rest. But I wanted to make my own music and that’s when I started creating sounds. I felt like I was in control of what I was doing. So yeah, I’m leaning more towards music. I just wanna see how far I can go.”
